Home at last
They lost the luggage between Aviemore and Dublin and it actually rained in Dublin. Got the luggage back in Galway. Toured all the area which is fenced almost entirely with dry stone walls in little blocks smaller than Ausie house blocks in some places. Galway a lovely city as is Dublin which was toured on the Saturday before flying out to Heathrow. Then the trouble started with a queque one kilometer long to get through security then a five hour plane sit in while they tried to fix it then get of and book into a hotel then back the next afternoon to the same long lines and finally leaving much later than scheduled. Then same again in Singapore until eventually getting to Tullamarine almost 24hours late. Anyway the trip is over and all is well but a good time was had by all. No where near as expensive as thought but with petrol at one pound a litre and a few other very dear things like food it is not the cheapest place to go.

phew!what a drama just to get home. I will give you a day or two to recover then i will give you a call. Have to let Jock be first in the - what did you call it? - queque?!!!
Well it was a bit of a drama - but looking back it was bloody good experience and excellent feel of the diverse countryside. And now that Jock has a mate perhaps he won't notice when they go to South Asia. I guess here, J, on a guided tour(?) you may not need a "Jane". Good luck.
